Love in Cheese

Taleggio Valley, Italy

2021

Love in Cheese I and II examine intimate relationships between female bodies across species. A newborn calf separated from her mother and an Iranian woman separated from her homeland are brought into relation to address confinement, displacement, and the regulation of female bodies. The performances reflect on oppression while articulating quiet forms of resistance against systems of domination.
